Tasting Notes
A dry, fruity wine, rich and creamy with hints of brioche, good length and mousse. Made in the traditional method with carefully selected and delicately pressed Pinot Noir grapes. In 2015 we produced a limited number of Pinot Reserve magnums, named after Julian’s late mother Joyce. After listening to a feature on BBC Women’s Hour, Joyce was inspired to turn the family apple orchard into a vineyard, and Biddenden Vineyards was created.
Winemaker Notes
Pinot Noir is one of the primary varieties used in sparkling wine production. It prefers a cooler climate and needs to remain on the vine long enough to capture the aromatics and fruity flavours. The name is derived from the French words for pine and black, because of the pinecone-shaped bunches of grapes.
