A Demi-Sec sparkling white floral to the nose, aromatic with sweet green apple undertones. Made by the traditional method with specifically selected grapes from some of the oldest vines in Kent.
Biddenden’s sandy-loam over clay soil and maritime climate, coupled with modern winemaking techniques, all help to produce this classic fruity Demi-Sec wine.
Winemaker Notes
Biddenden was one of the first vineyards to plant Ortega in the UK in the early 1970’s. Today Ortega covers just over half of the vineyard. Ortega grapes ripen early and are known for their low acidity and high sugar levels. Ortega is widely used in dry still wines, and can also be used to make sweet wines.
