We hosted our 13th annual “Taste the Best of Produced in Kent” on Sunday 9th June 2019, showcasing the very best food, drink and craft the county has to offer, whilst raising funds for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.
The event was once again extremely well supported, with visitors arriving from the moment the gates opened and throughout the day and loading up on produce from stand holders who lined the vineyards’ main yard and into the winery.
Over 50 stall holders attended, each hand-picked and producing a wide range of food, drink & craft products. There were also plenty of options for those wishing to enjoy lunch on site and the perfect weather meant many were able to enjoy ploughman’s lunches and other delicious foodie treats amongst the vines.
Julian Barnes, Managing Director, commented “We would like to thank everyone who came and supported this event, whether visiting for the first time or a long time supporter. The Air Ambulance plays a vital role and to be able to raise much needed funds whilst also showcasing all the county has to offer when it comes to food, drink & craft makes for an enjoyable and also worthwhile day out”
Plans are already underway for next year’s event, which will be held on Sunday 14thJune 2020. The vineyard is open to visitors throughout the year, during which it will also be celebrating its 50thanniversary.
