On 2 September we teamed up with the Kent & East Sussex Railway to offer all our cider lovers an exciting steam train experience, and it was a huge success!
Over 120 people attended the Biddenden Cider Express evening special which departed from Tenterden Station and chugged a leisurely 21-miles across the beautiful Kent and Sussex countryside to Bodiam Station where there was a live band playing. For rail enthusiasts, the steam train was a 5-car Mk.1 set.
Cider lovers were able to enjoy our award-winning ciders, including the much loved Dry, Medium and Bushels as well as the brand new special edition naturally red Red Love® cider. A selection of the Gribble Bridge wines were also made available along with Biddenden Red Love®, apple and pear juices.
Freshly prepared curry or bangers and mash were served on the outbound journey making it a perfect Friday evening out with almost all the cider being sold out by the end of the evening.
We are hoping to make the Biddenden Cider Express an annual affair, so please do watch this space.
