Biddenden Vineyard’s newest addition to it’s range of famous strong ciders, Biddenden Sparkling cider, has been awarded 2nd place at this year’s International Cider & Perry Competition held at the Hereford Cider Museum.
Over 160 entries were made into this year’s competition including those from England, Wales, Ireland & America. Biddenden Sparkling cider was the only Kent produced cider to be awarded a prize in the competition, also beating off competition from some of the best known producers in Somerset, Devon & Herefordshire.
Although best known for their still ciders, Biddenden’s sparkling cider is proving extremely popular. Produced by the traditional method, it is a fruity, dry sparkling cider, which is ideal as an accompaniment to a meal, and a great alternative to a sparkling wine if celebrating!
The award winning cider is available direct from the vineyard shop, online at www.biddendenvineyards.com and from selected independent farm shops, pubs and restaurants across Kent, Sussex and London.
