We’re all in need of a little extra cheer this year, and so we’ve been busy adding plenty of extra sparkle to our vineyard shop, all ready for the festive season. The tree is up – sourced from our friends just up the road at Hole Park – and our shelves are full.
The run up to Christmas is always a fun & busy time of year for us here at Biddenden, with everyone stocking up on sparkling wines to toast to the season, still wines to enjoy with friends & family, Monks Delight to keep you warm on the winter nights and farm pressed juices for breakfast and those looking for an alcohol-free option. And although there are the obvious uncertainties for Christmas & New Year this year, we’re here to help make it a Christmas to remember, shared with friends & family, whether together or from afar.
We are now open at the vineyard shop 7 days a week, with our own wines, ciders & juices in plentiful supply as well as a range of artisan & speciality drinks from fellow producers both from Kent & across the country. We also have a good selection of food products to complement our drinks selection, with gift boxes and hampers available to order both in the shop and online for home delivery. Don’t forget you can also order our full range including gift boxes featuring specially selected food & drink paired with our wines, ciders & juices via our online shop, with delivery available UK-wide as well as collection from Biddenden.
One trend that looks set to stay is a love for gin and we have an extensive selection to choose from including Anno, Green Sand & Copper Rivet as well as liqueurs from Wild Spirits of Kent, Lyme Bay Winery and British Cassis which is excellent with our Gribble Bridge Sparkling White Wine. There’s also delicious Christmas Pudding wine, which always proves popular, Cream Liqueurs, Rums and our dedicated beer shelves which feature real ales from some of Kent’s best brewers including Tonbridge Brewery, Cellar Head, Goody Ales, Dartford Wobbler, North Downs Brewery and many more.
Cheese & charcuterie is of course a natural pairing for wines & ciders, and our chiller has a great selection of local cheese from Cheesemakers of Canterbury & Kingcott Dairy, waxed truckles from Snowdonia Cheese Company and cured meats from Moon’s Green Charcuterie. Perfect for an easy to put together sharing platter to enjoy at home with a glass of Biddenden to accompany.
We’ve also added a selection of savoury snacks, including The Captain’s Crackers, Kent & Fraser’s cheese wafers, Mr Filbert’s olives & nuts and Kent Crisps, each of which will provide a delicious accompaniment to a chilled Biddenden Cider or to graze on with a one of our Gribble Bridge still wines.
