Our Gribble Bridge Rosé 2018 is produced from Dornfelder grapes in the traditional manner by overnight maceration of the fruit print to pressing. This helps intensify the full fruit flavour of the wine, which is medium-dry with notes of raspberry. The 2018 is more Provence in style, reflecting an increased demand for this style of rosé in recent years.
Our Dornfelder is used to produce both our rosé and red wine and some of the vines being over 30 years old, along with newer plantings added around 15 years ago. When walking the vineyard you will find Dornfelder at the very top of the vineyard, alongside Pinot Noir as well as approximately half way around after the second block of Ortega & next to Gamay Noir.
Available from the vineyard shop, online and from selected independent stockists throughout the South East.
