The continued hot weather has seen the arrival of bud burst at Biddenden, the time at which the vines start to shoot and the vineyard begins to come to life.
It’s a very important time and consistent warm weather is vital to bring the vines on. The oaks surrounding the vineyards are also beginning to leaf up and the hedgerows are coming into bloom including blackthorn & hawthorn.
We are now running open tours every Saturday and these provide a brilliant introduction to Biddenden & our history; now is an especially good time to take a look around for those wishing to understand more about the way in which we manage the vineyards, before the vine shoots become long & wild!
We have also started to release the first of our 2018 vintages, including some special editions which we have produced as a result of last year’s incredible harvest.
The vineyard is open daily for visitors to the shop, who are also welcome to take one of our self-guided tours around the vineyard, or why not book your own tour guide for a more personal & in depth Biddenden experience?
