Biddenden’s 9th annual “Taste the Best of Produced in Kent” Food Day was another excellent year with fantastic weather, over 1,900 visitors and a special ‘fly over’ from the Kent Air Ambulance.
An impressive grand total of £5,157.50 was raised for the Kent Air Ambulance from a combination of stall holders’ fees and donations, visitors’ donations, the Win a Mini raffle and the hamper raffle. Congratulations to Mr Ferminger, Mr and Mrs Downie, Mr and Mrs Powell and Mrs Bell who were the lucky winners of the four hampers, which were filled to the brim with a wonderful selection of Kentish goodies.
Sally Barnes, director, commented: “Thank you to everyone who came along to show their support and to the stall holders for their continued enthusiasm and donations towards the raffle. It is wonderful to be able to showcase such a fantastic range of Kentish produce and we are looking forward to next year already.”
Next year Biddenden will celebrating the 10th anniversary of the annual food day, which will be held on Sunday 12 June 2016.
